Scotts Valley Fire District Fee Schedule
Scotts Valley Fire Protection has established and adopted a fee schedule by local ordinance. User and regulatory fees are intended to cover all, or a portion of, the costs incurred by the District for providing fee-related services and activities that are not otherwise provided to those not paying the fee. California law provides guidance regarding the amounts the District may charge for fee-related services and activities. Specifically, in order to avoid being considered taxes, fees charged shall not exceed the estimated reasonable cost of providing the services, activities, or materials for which fees are charged.
The District only accepts cash or check as method of payment. Fees are due upon issuance of permit or invoice.
On November 10, 2021the Scotts Valley Fire Protection District (SVFPD) Board of directors adopted a new fee schedule that will take effect on January 10, 2022. These fees cover the cost of any service which SVFPD provides, or for the cost of enforcing any regulation for which the fee is charged. Fees are invoiced for Inspection services, Plan Review service/Required Permits, False Alarms, and other Administrative fees. Any submittals received on January 10, 2022 for SVFPD administrative services will be charged at the new fee schedule. Please click on the following link for a PDF copy of the new fee schedule.
